NRI Global Community

Volunteer Policy

Focus: Support, Guidance, and Advocacy for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs). The purpose of this policy is to define the relationship between NRI Global and our dedicated volunteers.

01. Introduction & Mission

Our mission is to provide a reliable support system for NRIs regarding legal, property, family, and emergency matters in India. Volunteers serve as the primary bridge between NRI Global and the global Indian diaspora.

02. Recruitment & Eligibility

  • Equal Opportunity: We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds committed to helping the NRI community.
  • Screening: Volunteers undergo background verification and submit valid government identification credentials.
  • Onboarding: Every volunteer completes an orientation session on NRI-specific documentation and protocols.

03. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Guidance, Not Legal Advice: Volunteers provide general procedural information only and do not execute legal documents without authorization.
  • Integrity: Professional representation across interactions with embassies, local authorities, and NRI families.
  • Documentation: Strict logging of assistance provided to ensure seamless continuity of support.

04. Code of Conduct & Ethics

No-Fee Policy

Volunteers must never demand or accept money, gifts, or commissions from NRIs for services.

Conflict of Interest

Immediate disclosure is mandatory if a volunteer has a personal interest in any assigned case.

Professionalism

Maintain a respectful tone, proper protocol, and professional boundaries with all beneficiaries.

Neutrality

Treat all community members equally, regardless of their residence country or economic background.

05. Confidentiality & Data Protection (NDA)

Volunteers execute a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Personal information, property titles, and case documentation must remain strictly confidential, stored on authorized encrypted channels only, and never shared on public or social media.

06. Expenses, Safety & Resignation

  • Voluntary Nature: Volunteering is honorary; pre-approved out-of-pocket expenses (travel/courier) are reimbursed against valid receipts.
  • Health & Safety: Volunteers perform duties under organizational public liability provisions and safe-working guidelines.
  • Resignation & Exit: A 7-day notice period is requested for smooth case handover. Immediate termination applies in cases of confidentiality or ethical breach.

Volunteer Acknowledgment

By enrolling, every volunteer confirms understanding of NRI Global’s Volunteer Policy and agrees to uphold the highest standards of integrity while serving the overseas Indian community.
